Anastasiya Day is a Ayurvedic massage therapist and yoga teacher based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Ana has developed her own range of organic Ayurvedic products based on traditional Indian recipes, and continues to study all aspects of Ayurvedic medicine, while providing a range of massage and wellness services to her growing client base. Ana’s clients are individuals who do not want to engage with traditional medicines and want to try alternative remedies. Deciding the use the downtime provided by lockdown to refresh the look of her business, Ana approached Seven and Co to create a new brand identity for her business.
Ana approached Seven and Co. Studio looking for a new visual identity for her business to freshen it up and help her look more professional and trustworthy, which she in turn hoped would attract more customers and enable her to grow her business further. To do this, we established early on that the brand would use clean, geometric shapes, paired with a lot of white space, to create a feel of cleanliness. Inspiration would also be taken from the herbs and spices used within her business, as well as from nature, to create a modern, innovative feel for the business.
The inspiration for Ana's new brand identity was taken from a range of sources, including brightly coloured photography and branding examples, organic textures and patterns, clean and simple design, and colours within nature. During exploration, it was established that plant-based illustrations would feature within the brand, either as part of the logo suite or as a pattern, and that a modern, clean font would be used. We decided to give Ana the choice between 3 design directions, from which she chose a simple sans-serif logotype paired with a geometric icon.
The clean, trustworthy and professional feel that Ana was looking for was achieved with a simplistic logo suite using clean lines and shapes, partnered with a range of organic hand-drawn textures and patterns to link the business to nature and give the brand personality. The colour palette created is based on natural tones - greens, greys, and some elements of yellow and orange, inspired by the herbs and spices used in Ana's treatments, to again give the brand a kick of personality and make it feel more innovative. The main icon of the brand is based on the initial 'A', and features 3 dots to link to the three doshas involved in Ayurvedic medicine. Bright, colourful, nature-inspired stock photography was also curated and provided to accompany the logo suite, for use across the brand's touch points. Finally, a website banner and social graphic were also provided, to help Ana maintain visual consistency throughout her brand collateral. Overall the new branding feels fresh and modern, with obvious links to the health and wellbeing industry, but also approachable, forward-thinking and trustworthy.
Ana has received overwhelming positive feedback since posting her branding, and has found that her new visual identity has massively helped her to promote her business on social media. The business is still yet to reopen post-Covid, so we are excited to see how her business thrives, and how Ana makes use of her new branding in other brand collateral.
"I worked with Millie on designing a logo for my website and social media images. She did an incredible job in a short time and at a great price. She was easy to work with, had great ideas and a good listener. I highly recommend Seven and Co. Studio."
